Location
The Sussex Challenge takes place on the Pippingford Estate, which lies within historic and enchanting Ashdown Forest, 9 km SE of East Grinstead as the crow flies and nestled nest to the charming village of Forest Row. Our event location lies just off the A22 which extends between East Grinstead and Uckfield. You will therefore arrive via the A22 either from the north (East Grinstead) or the south (Uckfield). Overview
Pippingford Estate is one of our all time favourite venues for adventure racing; a beautiful country estate nestling at the very centre of the mighty and ancient Ashdown Forest in Sussex. Our base of operations for the day is set among 1,000 acres of this delightful woodland estate and you will find yourself striking out from here across open heathland and into dense woods. The Estate also features a military training ground with fun obstacles – and our course planners will always find a way to “liberate” some of these for you!

Lots of ups and downs and a huge range of off road riding |
| Running | |

Rugged underfoot but a good network of pathways criss-crossing the Forest make the going easier |
